Oshara Village Announces the Festival of Green Building
Oshara Village, Santa Fe's Sustainable Village next to the Community College is announcing the second Festival of Green Building in conjunction with the opening of the Hacienda-A Parade of Homes. This year Oshara will have 2 new homes in the Parade as well a number of other solar and sustainable homes on display. The Festival of Green Building will take place from 11:00 to 5:00 on Saturday and Sunday August 16th and 17th, 2008. The Parade of Home will continue on August 21-24 at Oshara Village.
A number of sponsors, exhibitors and nonprofit groups will display a wide range of sustainable materials, equipment and techniques on the Oshara Plaza. Solar equipment, alternative building materials, energy efficient cars and appliances and sustainable home designs will be displayed and many professionals in these fields will be available to answer your questions.
The Festival of Green Building is free and open to the public and many innovative homes will be open for viewing. Come by and enjoy live music, refreshments and exciting conversation and learn how you can decrease your use of expensive energy and reduce your carbon footprint while improving your quality of life.
You can reach Oshara either from Richards Avenue just past I-25 or from St Francis by proceeding south under I-25 to Rabbit Road than right for 5 minutes to the Oshara Village Plaza.
